Part-Time Lover was truly a full-time joy to read. *** I received an advanced copy and chose to review it *** I really enjoyed listening to this book and I look forward to reading more from Lauren Blakely. His accent was spot on and he did an amazing job. I listented to the audio book of Part-Time Lover and though both narrators did a great job, Shane East really stole the show voicing Christian. I thought we were only fun and games when we started, but then, unexpectedly, she took my heart. Christian and Elise both try to deny their feelings for each other but it's impossible. What she does to help is a little extreme, but it's temporary. His company is in jeopardy and Elise and Christian are just the pair to help.Įlise has been hurt in the past and the thing she hates most is seeing someone taken advantage of by someone who they love. What is supposed to be a fun date turns into a family crisis for Christian when his brother calls. Fast forward a year or so later in Paris and fate has plans to bring them back together again. They set up a date, but it works out that they never get to have that date. What a way to start a book! Elise is on a holiday in Denmark with a friend and sees Christian while on a tour. The way Christian and Elise met was memorable. I'm definitely going to read more by this author when I'm in the mood for a light read! Part-Time Lover was my first book by Lauren Blakely and I enjoyed it! It was adorable, funny, sexy, and romantic.

Advance praise for THE ARCHIVED : "This gripping supernatural thriller features nuanced characters navigating a complex moral universe. In this haunting, richly imagined novel, Victoria Schwab reveals the thin lines between past and present, love and pain, trust and deceit, unbearable loss and hardwon redemption. Unless Mac can piece together what remains, the Archive itself might crumble and fall. And yet, someone is deliberately altering Histories, erasing essential chapters. Da's death was hard enough, but now that her little brother is gone too, Mac starts to wonder about the boundary between living and dying, sleeping and waking. Being a Keeper isn't just dangerous-it's a constant reminder of those Mac has lost. Because of her job, she lies to the people she loves, and she knows fear for what it is: a useful tool for staying alive. Now Da is dead, and Mac has grown into what he once was: a ruthless Keeper, tasked with stopping often-violent Histories from waking up and getting out. Da first brought Mackenzie Bishop here four years ago, when she was twelve years old, frightened but determined to prove herself. The dead are called Histories, and the vast realm in which they rest is the Archive. Each body has a story to tell– a life seen in pictures that only Librarians can read. Imagine a place where the dead rest on shelves like books. Recommended: AAPI TV and Streaming Calendar.
